Craig's Last Day at Work

Back on July 1st, Craig's last day at the shop....

So today is Craig's last day at the Scenic Studio after I don't know how many years.  So he decided to play a little prank on all of us.  We've been having some issues with ADT updating our fire alarm.  Our alarm bell presently does not work. If we do have a fire there is no bell that goes off in the building and NO ONE at ADT will speak to us.  So today Craig told Greg there was a package for him at the door.  Inside the package this is what Greg found.

And with the bell we found the instructions.

The instructions

The best part Greg opened it, glanced at the letter and handed it to me.  I did the same and handed it to John David and he finally read the directions.

Good one Craig!

The Hansen Family

I had the coolest dream last night.  Of course like every dream certain things made no sense. Monica and Steve were living in a suite in one of the dorms in Etown.  There was a bunch of people there visiting and one of those was Sarah and her two daughters.  Sarah and I chatted a bunch about people we knew and things going on and then I went over and chatted with Sadie.  She was being super cute.  I mentioned how it had been years since I had last seen her and she probably didn't remember me. She claimed she did remember me.  Then I told her how I knew her dad from college and how someday I would write down stories for her about him.  I told her how he was always happy and laughing and that is how I remembered him best.  There was a bunch of other stuff in the dream, none of which made any sense, but I felt so good about my chat with Sadie that I remembered it for the rest of the night and kept thinking about how I needed to share the dream with Sarah this morning.

The Bobcat

This is Bootsie the Bobcat. I almost did not win Bootsie when the seller on Ebay decided that he did not put enough money in for shipping.  Well my thought was if you sell on Ebay you should know how much things cost to ship so I offered him an additional $20 and did not back out of the sale.  So here is my win.  He sat on the desk in the other office for a while, scaring people from time to time (including myself).  Now he has his on roadbox and soon he will be on stage.

Fun at Work

Sometimes I get to do fun things at work like buy taxidermy animals.  Okay, some people might find that gross.  From Ebay I have purchased two animals now.  This is "Skippy".  I bought him through Ebay.  He sits on my desk.

 The bobcat is next....

So our lemon tree is doing well.  These are the lemons I picked today.  I've already picked probably two bags worth.

Another passing...

Well Craig, you were a pain in the ass to work with sometimes but you knew your shit.  You were a good guy and cared a lot about others.  I hope you are having a great time wherever you are....

The Jackson's Wine and Cheese Party

So, yes, I haven't been blogging again.  My excuse?  Well I really don't have any.  The big event for January besides work getting busy was the Jackson's annual Wine and Cheese Party.  This is the first year both Josh and I could attend.  They had a good turn out and we finished off 50 bottles of wine plus a LOT of food.  Plus it gave me a good reason to wear the dress I had for Kim and Rob's wedding again.  Here are some photos of the grand event.

Joe had QUITE a good time.  That is a velvet jacket, btw.

By the way, Bean likes to clean teeth.  Bean cleaned a lot of teeth that night.

Yes, Tania is wearing her wedding dress.  Some how she didn't get any wine or chocolate on it.

Pandora

Since we got rid of cable we've been spending a lot of time listening to the radio.  We listen to NPR which is great but even NPR starts to repeat itself or I get a little tired of hearing about politics.  When we were in the Bear Paw there was always an IPod on tuned to Pandora.  I knew about Pandora but honestly had never really looked into it and I guess I always thought it costs money.  Well surprise, it doesn't and we have a computer hooked up to our tv in our living room.  So now I can sit at home listening to the music I want to hear in my living room through the computer.  I'm very happy with this discovery.  I know, I behind the times....
